Information: Born Warsaw, Poland, June 18, 1950 1969 settles in Israel Until 1977 studies composition at the Tel-Aviv University, Rubin Music Academy (Leon Schidlowsky) and receives his Artist's Diploma, with distinction. 1977-1984 studies at the Yale University, U.S.A., where he receives his Master of Music degree in 1979, Master of Musical Arts degree with distinction in 1980 and his doctorate in 1984. His teachers in composition were Krzysztof Penderecki and Jacob Druckman. Since 1981 taught at the Music Department at Yale and was associate professor of composition there. He is presently Professor of Composition and Theory of Music at Ohio University in Columbus. Radzynski received the ASCAP award (1989, 1990), Mellon Fellowship (1988), Morse Fellowship (1985) and several other grants and was resident at the Foundation Artists' House, Boswill, Switzerland (1983).
