Balakauskas, Osvaldas Stasio (1937-???)
Lithuanian composer. Studied at the Vilnius Peadagogical Institute from 1957-1961, then with Liatoshinsky at the Kiev Conservatoire, from 1964-1969. Was one of Lithuania’s first ambassadors after independence, and was Head of Composition at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre from 1988-1992 and from 1994-2006.
