Information: (composer website: http://www.gabrieleproy.at/) Gabriele Proy (b 1965 in Vienna) is a leading Austrian composer and pioneer in the field of soundscape composition. She holds Master’s Degrees in Composition (composition and electro-acoustic composition) and Music Pedagogy (guitar) with distinction from the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. She is active giving lectures and concerts at universities and public forums in Europe, Australia, Japan and Canada; from 2001 until 2013 she was President of the European Forum Klanglandschaft. Formerly at Krems Danube University and the University of Vienna, since 1999, she has been guest lecturer in composition and sound design at the Nuremberg Media Academy. Since 2011, she has taught composition at the Vienna Institute for the International Education of Students (IES Vienna). Her music has been performed by many distinguished ensembles (including the Koehne Quartet, the Munich Philharmonic Choir, the ORF Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra, the ensemble die reihe, the ensemble Wiener Collage, the Leipzig Denkmal Choir, the International Danube Philharmonic and the Vienna Concert-Verein Orchestra) and renowned solists (such as Eva Prockl, Manon-Liu Winter, Matthias Krampe, Günter Haumer, Albert Sassmann, Ulrike Anton, Lucia Hall, Balázs Fülei, Christina Schorn, Armin Egger, Veronika Trisko and Elena Denisova).
