Information: (http://www.dimitricervo.com/en_bio.html) Cervo is a Brazilian pianist and compoesr. Cervo presented his first compositions in public at age fourteen. In 1991 he took place at the composition classes (with Donatoni) and film music classes (with Ennio Morricone) at the Accademia Chigiana of Sienna. In 1995 he started to gain national recognition when he was awarded the first prize in the Competition for Orchestral Works, at the Londrina Music Festival (Brazil), with Abertura e Toccata for orchestra that was performed by five Brazilian orchestras. In 1996 he performed the premiere of his Passacaglia Fantasia for piano and orchestra in Salvador (Bahia). In 1997 Cervo signed an Internet publishing contract with freehand.com (CA, USA), pioneering the publishing of new music on the WEB. The composer was featured in Billboard, Sheet Music and Music & Computers magazines. In 2000 his Pequena Suíte Brasileira was awarded prize of jury and audience at the Fifth Aliénor Harpsichord Composition Competition (USA). It was released in CD by Elaine Funaro (Centaur Records) and published in USA.
